About us

My name is Jahan, and I am the proud owner of Shahtoot, named after the mulberry tree (known as “shahtoot” in Afghanistan) that holds a special place in my heart. Growing up surrounded by shahtoot trees, I have fond memories of summer days spent picking sweet mulberries with my family during our annual shahtoot parties. These moments remain one of my happiest childhood memories.

As a naturally creative person, my journey to Shahtoot began unexpectedly. One day, I bought a sewing machine and started watching tutorials on how to make scrunchies. What began as a simple experiment quickly grew into a hobby, and before I knew it, I was sewing one scrunchie after another. That’s when I realized I wanted to turn this passion into a business.

At Shahtoot, each product is handmade with care, and I take great pride in creating items that are as perfect as possible. This is more than just a business to me—it’s a connection to my childhood, to creativity, and to my roots. Shahtoot is a small home business, and with your support, we hope to grow and bring more joy to our customers, one handmade piece at a time.

Thank you for supporting our small business and being a part of our journey. Every purchase takes Shahtoot one step closer to achieving our dreams.
